first time here, posting my assumptions and asking for input on whether they are correct or not
I used
Theory Craft-o-Matic to determine my current stat weights
they are currently:
1 Spell Power = 0.94 DPS
1 Hit Rating = 0.88 DPS
1 Crit Rating = 0.61 DPS
1 Haste Rating = 0.63 DPS
my stats are:
1565 spell power
558 crit rating
315 hit rating
281 haste rating
according to wowwiki at level 80
166 int is worth 1% crit
1% crit is 45.9 crit rating
so
166 int provides 45.9 crit rating, and crit is worth 0.61 therefore
166 int = 45.9*0.61 = 27.9 DPS
therefore:
1 int = 27.9/166 = 0.168 DPS
so my stat weights are
int - 17
spell power - 94
hit rating - 88
crit rating - 61
haste rating - 63
