Holy Priest Template
--Dagron--
*edited*
This is completely Dwarf Priest's weightings. I take no credit, just replacing the link with what I think is proper. No reason to lead anyone astray.

You might want to put a few more points into the Gem Socket scores. The score is added for each socket of that type. You can put a +18 heal gem in each socket (at least) so, given you have a score of 1.0 for healing, then you should have a score of 18.0 for each socket and maybe higher for a meta socket.

I think u didn't take spirit as heavy as it should be !
with 1.43 HEP for MP5, it means disc/holy priest selfbuff ( imp. DS ) and spirit guidance, 1 spi = 0.25HEP ( spirit guidance ) + 0.05 HEP ( imp. DS ) + 5/8*1.43 HEP ( 1 spirit represents 5/8 MP5 )
so basically, HP raiding would be 1.19 HEP for 1 spirit, not 0.93.

I changed the value back to what i had originally intended. I think that 1 snuck in front of my .43.

Don't you give a score to spell crit ?
I think it should be taken into account.

Why should spell crit get a score? Its a useless stat to priests... Its not something to shoot for at all, if you get, good, but its not something i want to lose stats to.

If there are 2 items with exactly the same stats but one with additinal crit, both would get the same points. So you should at least add a small value to it. You already did this with stamina.
But i would say you overvalued some stats. Your values say one single point of +heal is worth much much more then 1 mp5.
This is a template i posted on my guild forum as an example.

I dunno. I like my template, it fits in with the gear I want to grab, I should probably tweak it some more, since I see some discrepencies from what I actually want. Maybe at some point I'll take the time to look into it more. For now, back to raiding to actually get some of this gear.
(I still disagree anything points should be in crit. Really, if a piece has crit on it, it generally doesn't have any other stats I want. Just from my own point of view.)

Can someone post a good lootrank for pvp gear for a holy/disc priest? I really can't figure out what to weigh these stats. Particularly considering I spend the first part of an arena mana burning, specing for +heal and crit seem kind of pointless.

So based on the elitistjerk forum theorycrafting on int/spirit after 2.4, here is my personal new lootrank for a raid healing circle of healing priest:
http://www.lootrank.com/wow/rank.asp?Cl ... pp=0&Ver=1
Note that as you get more int, spirit gets worth more and vice versa, so if you are in higher than t5 content your numbers will be higher for those two stats, and if you are below t5 content your numbers will be lower for those two stats.

Have the Holy Priest templates by dwarf priest been updated for 3.0.2?

I took a look at dwarf priests weightings. They seem pretty strong. I personally didn't like how low spirit was weighted, so below is a link to the weightings i'm planning on using. It may somewhat overemphasize spirit, but I've always been a bit of a spririt whore.
Holy Priest PvE 3.0.2
Enjoy

Is this for raiding? For raiding you definitely want to weight int more than spirit nowadays.

As a holy priest who has gone Surge of Light / Improved Holy Concentration, crit is a VERY important stat; Free, instant cast heals and haste off crits. My mana pool gets essentially a third bigger with this.
Please don't generalize and say the crit is useless to priests.
